A male Northern Cardinal in March

Spring Northern Cardinal

March 26, 2017

Spring is here and the snow and sleet is still falling in Northern New York. The bad weather brought the birds in Saturday morning to feed. Typically shy, the male Northern Cardinals were in abundance. Above, I captured this male in profile with the Canon 7D Mark II and the Canon EF 100-400MM F/4.5-5.6L IS lens handheld. With snow still on the ground from our blizzard, the background is nicely blown out.

Thanks for stopping by today. Have a great day!
