Female Northern Cardinal - Handheld | 340MM | F/8.0 | 1/250 SEC | ISO 1000

The Bow - Female Northern Cardinal

April 7, 2017

Walking across a wet bird feeder roof in a early Spring snow storm, this female Northern Cardinal is captured head down in profile. I took several photos of this bird in various poses and configurations.

Photographed handheld with the Canon 7D Mark II and Canon EF 100-400MM F/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens in manual mode. Post-processing is in Adobe Lightroom CC (exposure and clarity) and Photoshop CC (curves, sharpen, noise reduction).

Have a great day!
