Sailing on Lake Saratoga

July 15, 2017

Saratoga Lake Sailing Club

My daughter spent two weeks this Summer sailing on Lake Saratoga with a day camp run by the Saratoga Lake Sailing Club. She loves to spend the day on the water swimming and sailing ... I wish I could do this for two weeks!

One afternoon, I brought the Canon 7D Mark II and Canon 100-400MM F/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens to the lake to take some action photos. The wind was cooperating when I arrived and I was able to get a few decent photos as the group traversed the lake.

While taking photos of the kids and sailboats I saw what I thought to be a heron standing on a dock down the shore. I took a couple shots, but after watching for a minute, I thought the bird was a fake. It was not until ten minutes later when I looked down the shore and noticed the bird was gone that I was convinced it was real.

All photos today are post-processed in Adobe Lightroom CC for exposure and contrast.

Thanks for stopping by today.
