Winter Blue Jay

Winter Jays

Winter Blue Jay

2018! The start of the new year in the Northeast is snow, wind, and bitter cold. With temperatures below zero, I captured this Blue Jay visiting for some breakfast. He was cooperative and perched long enough to take several pictures in the wind and blowing snow.

The images were photographed with the Canon 7D Mark II and the Canon EF 100-400MM F/4.5-5.6L IS USM lens handheld. Post processing was done in Adobe Photoshop CC and using the Luminar plugin for color and contrast correction. Sharpening and noise were completed in Photoshop.

Thanks for stopping by today for the first post of 2018.

Happy New Year!
